Blue Ageratum are among the prettiest blue garden flowers. They are members of the Aster family.
Ageratum grows well in full sun or partial shade, from early summer to frost. They are easy to grow, producing a profusion of blue, fluffy flowers all season long. The plants remain compact, mounds all summer only reaching 6-8″ or so tall.

Ageratum are excellent plants for beginner gardeners. It is very easy to grow and drought tolerant. Blue varieties are most popular, providing a compact, colorful accent along flower bed borders.
They pair nicely with Red Bronze Begonias. They are also resistant to deer foraging, but attract butterflies. Deadheading dead blooms will promote more flowering.
Plant in full sun to part sun 6-8″ apart. Grows 6-8″ tall.
We grow Blue Ageratum in our J6 (606) Annuals and #4 Annuals sizes.
