Earlier this year the Arkansas Green Industry Association formed a partnership with the Arkansas FFA and Keep Arkansas Beautiful to promote leadership with the student of the Arkansas FFA’s through horticultural service and beautification projects. You can read more about the partnership on the Keep Arkansas Beautiful press release.
The partnership will have an official kick off this fall in Little Rock, but we had our first joint project a couple of weeks ago at Camp Couchdale outside Hot Springs, AR in preparation for the FFA’s convention that is held there this week.
Thanks to all the FFA kids and alumni who did all the hard work and thanks to Adam’s Nursery, River Valley Horticultural Products, Commercial Lawns and Pittman’s Nursery for donating the plants. Also thanks to Keep Arkansas Beautiful for donating the other supplies for the clean up. My apologies if I left anyone out.
Here are some pictures of the clean up. There are more pictures here.
