
Blue Plumbago (Ceratostigma) is a low-growing groundcover with shiny green foliage coming up late in the spring and blooming late in the summer with blue star-shaped flowers. In the fall the foliage turns dark bronze-red.
Ceratostigma is heat and drought tolerant and can grow in a wide variety of soils. It’s bright. bloom flowers attract pollinators, and deer stay away from eating it. It is also good for erosion control.
Plant Ceratostigma Plumbago in full sun to part shade 18-24″ apart. It grows 6-12″ tall and 20-24″ wide. It can grow larger in ideal conditions and in warmer climates.
