Black Dragon Coleus has puckered leaves that are dark purple, almost black, with red in the center. The leaves have serrated edges that look ruffled. Coleus is a tropical plant grown as a summer annual for its variously colored foliage.
Foliage colors range from green to bronze, pink, white, yellow-green, and red.The small, blue to white, Salvia-like flowers are insignificant.
Black Dragon Coleus performs best in moist well drained soil in shaded locations, but can adapt to lesser sites. It is heat tolerant but not particularly drought tolerant.
Spacing: Plant 8” to 10″ apart.
Height: Grows 12″ to 24″ tall.
How To Grow: Plant in part sun to full shade.
Outstanding Features: Black Dragon Coleus has multicolored foliage that will brighten up shady areas.
Tips: Pinch flower spikes and leggy foliage to keep plants fuller.
