Yes, it will take us more than one day to drive home. We were out late last night at dinner. I will compile all my pictures and give you all a post on the show, but this one is about our drive home.
I let Beck sleep in an extra hour after staying up so late since she is the one doing all the driving. I can’t fit in the driver’s seat.
Right now we are fighting over the radio. I’m listening to the Stones “She’s So Cold” and Beck hates Mick Jagger. The song is over and now she’s happy with Tears For Fears.
Hello Cincinnati!
And now Kentucky.
We stopped for lunch at a nice place in La Grange, KY called One Nineteen West Main. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. Also the train through town ran straight down Main Street.
After that we decided to cut cross country southwest out of Louisville. We took the back roads. We saw some new country and a lot of corn fields.
That little side trip put us an hour or two behind, but we knew it would. We’ll still get home tomorrow evening as planned. It is 6 pm CST as I type this on my tablet in the car. We are still driving. Not sure when or where we will stop.
We gave out in Benton, KY about 7 pm and grabbed some pretty good Italian food at Mama D’s.
Thus endeth our day…
