Want to add a variety of colors to your salads? Bell peppers are the way to go with a variety of vibrant colors from green to yellow to red and even brown or chocolate.
Chocolate Beauty Bell Pepper may look different but don’t mistake it’s color for the sweetness that lies in every bite. They are large, about 4 inches long and almost as wide with 4 to 5 lobes. They start out green but when left to mature, turn a rich chocolate brown. Being sensitive to the cold, planting should be delayed until the danger of frost is past in the spring. Ideal temperatures are 70 to 80 degrees F during the day, and 60 to 70 degrees F at night. Usually, the plants set satisfactory crops when temperatures are between 65 and 80 degrees F and the soil is well-supplied with moisture. Avoid a soggy, water-logged soil condition when growing peppers.
