Scabiosa Butterfly Blue has light lavender-blue flowers held up on tall stems above it fern-like foliage. The foliage is grey-green with frilly leaves. Blooms are 1.5-2″ wide. Butterfly Blue is a prolific bloomer. In addition to that, Scabiosa blooms from mid to late spring through frost.
The foliage tends to stay low in a tight mound. The compact plants make these perennials a great choice for borders and along paths and sidewalks. They will also perform equally well in mass plantings, groupings in perennial beds and rock gardens.
Butterfly Blue Scabiosa is easy to grow and low maintenance. Deer will normally leave it alone and butterflies love it.
Scabiosa Butterfly Blue is available in our Quart Perennial size category.
