The Arkansas Green Industry Association is putting on a Plant Health Clinic Disease Workshop (plant disease identification) here in Van Buren which gives a lot of you who are on this side of the state a great opportunity to learn more about plant health and disease identification. Sherri Smith does a great job with the class. I went to one of her clinics a couple of years ago and learned a lot. Now she has added in sections covering turf and roses to go with the vegetables, ornamentals and nursery crops sections.
In addition to the session there is a lab where you get to apply your knowledge which was tremendously helpful and there is a manual you use in the class that you get to keep.
Lunch will be provided and since I am paying for the lunch I am going to make sure we eat well. I am thinking lasagna but we’ll see what else is available.
Everyone is invited and you do not have to be an AGIA member to attend but we would like for you to consider joining the association.
