Salvia

Basic Salvia

Salvia, with its dark green leaves and its bright bloom spikes, has long been a popular landscape plant. Along with the color selection, Salvia’s outstanding heat and drought tolerance just add to the plants landscape allure. It will bloom until first frost in autumn.

Plant these beauties and you will attract hummingbirds and butterflies to your garden. If you have problems with deer eating your flowers, fear not, they do not like its herbaceous foliage. Dead flower stalks should be removed to promote new blooms.

Red Salvia is one of the most popular of the colors. It has bright red bloom spikes and dark green leaves. It was a very popular landscape plant decades ago.

We grow Salvia in our J6 (606) Annuals and #4 Annuals sizes. In the J6 we carry Mix, Purple, Red and White. In the #4(1801) we just carry Red.
