These melons are blocky and oblong and can reach 30 pounds. #710 has been a grower favorite for years. The foliage is fair to good and the melons have less tendency for sun burn. Resistant to Fusarium wilt and Anthracnose, race 1. Plant after danger of frost has passed. Side-dress with nitrogen when vines begin to run. Watermelons mature in 80-100 days from seed. Young transplants are typically 14-21 days old.
