The Good Earth Garden Center is the 2012 Revolutionary 100 National Winner. The award was presented to Gregg and Julie Curtis, owners of the Little Rock, Ark., garden center at the Revolutionary 100 Award Banquet in Atlanta, Ga. on January 12. The award is the top honor in Today’s Garden Center magazine’s annual program recognizing the 100 most innovative, progressive independent garden retailers in the country.

"We’re here because of a lot of other people. We have such a great team, Julie and I are just the coaches," said co-owner Gregg Curtis. "I know it’s been a tough time for a lot of retailers, but everyone needs to take a step back and see some of the positive things all of the garden centers in the room here tonight are doing. We should all feel good about what we’re accomplishing."

The Good Earth Garden Center was selected by a panel of judges for its excellence in a number of areas, including expansion into successful new product categories, its focus on local suppliers and products and its commitment to the personal and professional development of its employees.

The Curtis’ operation was selected as this year’s National Winner from among five Regional Winners. The other finalists for the award included:
