This week has been nice and comfortable, then hot then nice and now it’s kind of warm again. One thing that has been consistent here this spring is that we haven’t got much rain. We are currently at about 50% of our normal rainfall for the year. These dry conditions may start impacting garden center sales if we don’t get some rain soon. It will definitely make it harder for new and inexperienced gardeners to be successful.
Unfortunately for some of you out there, you are in a severe drought. The image to the right shows the drought areas with red and dark red designating the most severely affected areas.
Next weeks availability is going to be spotty. We are temporarily out of some stuff and then have two plantings of other items ready. Hanging baskets, herbs and some vegetables will be a little thin next week. We have a lot of product that just needs another week to size up and bloom. Regarding the herbs and clematis, they have been very popular this year, and we are in the last of the availability for them.
We have two plantings of #6 Confetti Gardens (1200 flats) and Wave Petunias (2000 flats) ready and showing some nice color. We also have a lot of Wave Decos, Osteo Decos, 20000 flats of J6 annuals and a lot more.
